The country derives its landlocked status owing to the presence of Pakistan in the south; Iran to its west; Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan border in the north, while China lies in far north-east. Afghanistan receives the status of forty-first largest country of the world. More or less the country resembles the shape of Texas of the United States. The country is blessed with abundant natural resources.

The land of this 41st largest country of the globe is stretched between the geographical coordinates of 33.93 degrees in North to 67.71 degrees in the East. The country is blessed with a continental type of climate. With a height of about 7.492 meters above the surface of sea level, Noshaq forms the highest point of Afghanistan.

Some of the reckoned tourist attractions of Afghanistan are Kandahar, Mazar-e-Sharif, Jalalabad, Balkh, Herat, Samangan, Bamiyan. Faizabad. In addition to these, Kabul, Balkh, Bagram, and Jalalabad are the places of interest in Afghanistan.

The cultural presence of Afghanistan was for a period of around three millennia.
